We are obsessed with helping you feel beautiful, balanced, and connected in your everyday through the practice of self care.

beauty meets balance

Let’s reframe how we think about beauty.

It’s not only physicality. Beauty is the quality of your experiences. The beauty in your friendships, including the most important one—the one with yourself. The beauty in embracing the unknown, being okay with feeling uncomfortable, the beauty in all your successes and every failure. You find this beauty through balance. Balance in your thoughts and actions, being kind to yourself first, and setting boundaries that allow you to prioritize yourself.

Life can feel very black and white. We get trapped into all-or-nothing thinking. Grey communicates the balance we aspire for our days and thoughts to fall into.

We wanted Greyback to feel relaxing and laid back—like home—whether you’re joining us for monthly socials, reading our Sunday Rituals newsletter, or simply breathing with us.

grey + laid back = Greyback

the social club

Greyback’s monthly social club is designed to empower you to feel more balanced and connected in your everyday.

LEARN.
Each month, a curated beauty and wellness expert from our local San Francisco Bay Area community joins to teach us new ways to care for ourselves, allowing us to play and explore new tools to care for our mind, body, and soul.

PRACTICE.
Each social club starts and ends with a guided meditation to bring balance and focus.

CONNECT.
Share self care experiences with beautifully-minded females in your community.

Social clubs are hosted at The Hivery, a female-fueled space at Fort Mason, right on the bay in San Francisco.

Feeling good is a practice. Greyback helps you get there, again and again.

Alissa Masuda

Greyback's cofounder and unapologetic hoarder of face oils and Byredo perfumes; Alissa spends her days busy immersed in the corporate tech world while finding time to get outdoors and in the bath at least 1x a week. In her former career as a sales & product trainer for a large luxury cosmetic brand she developed a bad taste in her mouth for beauty, which prompted a career overhaul. But her love for wellness and natural beauty never left her, but she craved a way to incorporate her knowledge and network into a community, which is where the idea of Greyback started.

Alicia Anderson

An east coast native, Alicia fell in love with mindfulness and meditation to help with her ever-running internal monologue. She leads meditation sessions and mindfulness workshops to help others feel more calm, present, and engaged in their daily lives. Always being the friend to hold space for others to be vulnerable and get clarity through good conversation made her realize there’s a need for community around all of this. Using her mindfulness meditation background and love of wellness tools as the practices seemed like a no brainer, and Greyback was born.
